Let me introduce myself. My name is Robert Gonzales. My father introduced me to photography in the mid 70’s. I was a young boy who wanted to do the things his father loved to do. He taught me to stop and take in the beauty that surrounds us, no matter where we might find ourselves. Then he would snap a photo that told a story. When he passed in 1979, I was left with his Canon camera and a 35mm lens and the desire to be just like him. So began my journey.

Over the years I have honed my skills in various forms of photography. I have captured many types of sporting events such as rodeo, football, baseball, tennis, golf, drag races and motocross. I also enjoy turning my life working in the oilfield into a story through the images I am able to capture while in the field.

My true passion is portraits and capturing the spirit of my clients through their eyes. It brings me the greatest satisfaction to see my clients’ reactions to their portraits. Many people believe they are not photogenic, but I love showing them that through my lens this just isn’t the case. Between clients I never miss an opportunity to capture nature at it’s finest, especially sunrises and sunsets. Working in West Texas has also given me the opportunity to tell the story of the beauty that exists even here in the desert.
